I bought this TV year and half ago for 00 shipped. At that time this was a considerable bargain to get a 50 inch high def TV at this price point. I’m mostly satisfied with this TV. Here’s what I think of it:

Pros :
– Big screen
– True 1080p (1900×1080) resolution
– Cheaper than 50inch LCDs and plasmas
– Awesome connectivity (3 HDMI inputs, 1 PC, 2 composites etc)
– USB port (For firmware upgrades or watching ur pics/or listening to your music). Honestly i’ve used this once in so long
– Very good contrast ration (again considering the price point)
– Slim profile.
– Super light – Not that you’ll be carrying around TV of this size

Cons :
– Horrible sound from the in built speakers.
– Bowing problem. it’s hardly noticeable unless there are horizontal lines on the screen
– Terrible Off-axis viewing performance. I don’t care about viewing from side but i’ve put the TV on a 3 foot high table and i watch tv sitting on floor always. It’s not even half as bright/clear from this angle.
– Limited life of the light bulb (haven’t faced this yet)

Overall, I would say this is a pretty good TV for the money.
